Description

T-Notes lets you enter multiple pieces of text in each record via multiple tabs and subtabs.

Features:
- Ability to assign high quality icons to records.*
- Included is a customized iconset** for T-Notes.
- Jump to IconMgr directly to edit icons.
- Jump to Memos directly to paste/copy text.
- Modified controls. Removed next and previous navigational buttons.

* In order for this to work, make sure an iconset with name “T-Notes-Icons” is installed on RAM (device). Install the supplied one, and then you can edit icons via IconMgr (included in the zip package) — Rename iconsets using IconMgr only! Do not rename them in a file explorer, for instance. They won’t work.

** Original icons made by me and some modified from minicons set.

T-Notes stands for (Simple) Tabbed Notes.

This is not a miraculous application. It probably won’t ‘wow’ you, but I’m sure it would be useful for a certain purpose.

T-Notes lets you enter multiple pieces of text in each record with aid of multiple tabs. Each note will have 9 separate text fields to type in. There are 3 main tabs (1 – 2 – 3), and each has 3 subtabs (a – b – c).

Why would you need something like that? In other words, what’s the difference between this and the built-in Memos?

Well, sometimes you need to write down stuff like: Movies I own, watched, want to buy; People I like, love, hate; Clothes I own, want, interested in; PDAs I owned, own, interested in,…..etc

T-Notes will definitely help you organize such things. Otherwise, Memos would be more ideal for single-themed notes.

Update Description:
v1.2:

  • 3-way navigation (up, down, and OK) in all applicaiton forms and in all controls except the tabs (they’re being worked on).
  • A new form showing all 9 notes in one screen (The 9! button). Also, navigating through multiple records is possible in that form.

Thanks, this little application was very useful to me…

For drafting the vision and goals of my company, I used T-Notes accordingly:

1=Vision
2=Values & Beliefs
3=Goals & Objectives
a=for our products and services
b=for our people and our customers
c=for our community and environment

and then I filled in the 9 boxes…setting it up was easy but it took me 3 days of re-thinking and re-drafting to fill in all the boxes to my liking.

By the way, is the info entered in T-Notes backed up on my PC?

Sorry about replying so late. I don’t know how I missed your comment.

Yes, the info is backed up on the PC after each hotsync. It’s stored in a file named [T-Notes-Data.pdb].

I apologize again.
Regards.
